CAMPAIGN UPDATE & HC REPORT
Heavy fighting continues all across Europe! The Axis are marching west but meeting pockets of heavy resistence where the Allies have drawn a line in the sand. With some very vital Air Fields in the south and center and some strong pushes in the north, the Axis are looking forward at the next set of air fields to target. The Allies have taken notice and have started to rally their troops to push the Axis back. As the map continues on, the fighting is sure to pick up and the battles will only get more intense! Join your team on the field and help them push to victory!

Allied:
Allied Operations have been working to liberate cities around key towns. This operation much like the others has been using the UNIFIED ALLIED TEAM with the advantages of one team that has two Armies worth of equipment set. The Axis have continued to conduct a very heavy push west but the Allied team has put up heavy defenses which have shown to be some of the bloodiest fighting yet in the Mid sector. Unified Allied Team has continued to operate like a well oiled fighting machine ready to take on the Axis anywhere the Allied Team decides to. The allied Air forces have been working hard with the naval officers to provide the support the Army needs in each city. This is due to the hard work and dedication of the officers who recognize that a Unified team can be unstoppable. We are advancing but we still need everyone to log in and push east as hard as they can in accordance with the operational goals set forth. We can bring Home another Victory. Login, help and join the Allied team as we take the fight to the Axis on our terms.Make sure to check the secured forums to find out what operations are planned each day and keep informed. With your continued efforts to work as a single team we are well on our way to a VICTORY… Thanks to all of the Officers and non-officers who have stood up and helped the allied team.

Axis:
Salute Axis Forces!

Six weeks into the fighting finds Team Axis closing in on Calais with heavy fighting on all fronts. Axis forces have captured many of the Allied Air Fields giving us air superiority while our armor and infantry continue the march west. We now own Brussels, and Antwerp, along with Berry-Au-Bac, Reims and Maubeuge. The intestinal fortitude of the Axis Forces and our "never give in" approach has once again put us on the verge of victory. Moral is high and our followers are having a great time while in-game.

6.Armee has pushed the French army back and are rapidly gaining ground on the way to the French Production Facilities. Operational Orders are being adjusted to stay on pace with the speed of their advancement. With the capture of southern towns and their prized air fields, 6.Armee is poised Cambrai and Lille in the days ahead.

12.Armee has regained all the northern towns in heavy fighting. The fighting in these sectors has been intense as the BEF have tried to counter our gains. However, 12.Armee has not budged and continues to advance. Elements of the KM along with 12.Armee are currently putting the finishing touches on the Zeeland Islands. The move west includes the liberation of the northern section which restored the Naval Base of Hellevoetsluis for the Kriegsmarine.

The Luftwaffe now rules the skies over most towns and has done a brilliant job of sweeping the skies clear for the advancing Heer. Pilots of both Luftflotte II and III have done a remarkable job of engaging the enemy aircrafts well before they can tactically attack our ground forces. With the airfields at Antwerp and Brussels the Luft now patrols the sea lanes and can easily attack enemy ships and fighter escorts to prevent bombers from attacking our ships and JU52 Para drops in and around the Islands.

The Kriegsmarine has been involved in deadly battles within the Islands
clearing the way for the removal of any lingering Allied troops. As of this writing the KM has moved one Flotte to the Naval Base in Antwerp and will soon be moving the second to Vlissingen. This will seal the fact of the BEF and will accelerate the removal of British forces from the mainland.

IKW has fortified it's staff and we can expect a big change in our officer output with the addition of the new trainers.

We would like to welcome all the new players to the community and invite you to join one of our squads/KG’s during any time zone that you play in. When in-game click on the HELP channel in your chat bar and feel free to ask us all the questions that come to mind. We will do our very best to answer them and point you in the direction that makes you the most comfortable.

There is a high learning curve associated with this game and we would like you to understand that you are not alone during this time. The HELP channel is manned by Officers of the OKW and many of the Axis players during every time slot, day or night. There are also training times when both communities are available for those that wish to get a better understanding of the game.

PLAYER SPOTLIGHT
AXIS
Axis Player of the week: Ltpatton

Ltpatton has dedicated his career to the Axis cause and has inspired many to follow his lead. You can usually find Ltpatton in a town that has heavy fighting whether it be defending or attacking. Besides being a master at every weapon in the Axis arsenal Ltpatton uses them to to their situational strengths. The OKA recognizes Ltpatton's efforts and contributions on the battlefield to Axis cause. Congratulations Ltpatton

ALLIED
This week’s Allied player of the week will be going to HB of the BEF. HB stepped up to help lead defenses that have been highly successful in saving much needed towns for the allied team. He has become one of the defensive masters of the game. HB has ensured that our towns are well defended and has been able to coordinate many successful town defenses. He exemplifies the Unified Command of the Allied Team... His outstanding command and leadership on the battlefield helped to ensure that the operational goal of number of towns to be liberated were met by defending the ones just taken. JOB Well Done! Your enthusiasm and dedication to the Allied cause is an inspiration to those you lead. Keep up the great work and let it be known that you are this week’s Allied Player of the Week!

COMMUNITY NEWS & NOTES
This week we have experienced some changes internally in the Community Management Team. Community Manager Badger has decided to step down from his current responsibilities as things in his real life are picking up. Badger has been offered some really great oppurtunities that he just could not turn down. I personally thought that this day would never come but after hearing his excitement while talking about his new oppurtunities I knew he had made the right choice, no matter how hard it was. We would like for you to join us in Congratulating Badger with his new adventures and wish him luck! Badger will not be leaving the community, oh no, there is nothing that could take him away entirely. He will still be here and is looking forward to joining you on the field of battle as a player again. I would now like to introduce you to the new member of the Community Management Team, Fogaban! Fogaban has been a long time member of our community and has held a wide variety of positions including: Squad CO, HC Officer, Training Corps member, Lead Game Manager and a member of our Closed Beta team. Fogaban has a lot of respect and experience within the community and he is a great fit in the Community Management Team and he is ready and eager to help. I am proud to have him as a member of the Community Management Team and if you wish to contact him, please feel free to send him an e-mail at fogaban@playnet.com.

1.20 is looking good!! The open testing of 1.20 is on going as we polish up the patch for release. We are very pleased to be able to bring you all the new features that will debut in 1.20. A very quick run down: Churchill, Tiger, M10, C47, Contact Reports, Way Points, Mission Members on your map, the Squad Tab and in game squad functions, Mission tab while spawned in, many inprovements to the UI including layout, colors and font, updated manuals and unit information, new grass and new buildings to name a few of the features. One of the most important parts of 1.20 is the improvements made to the performance. You may not see a large increase in FPS but you will notice a much smoother and more stable game. A lot of work went into the back end of the game and we have been able to squeeze some much needed improvements in the code. We look forward to seeing you with us on the Battleground of Europe in version 1.20 in the near future!

The Liaison program continues to shine as more and more questions are answered and conerns are brought up. Be on the look out for good candidates as we will be starting the next Liaison nominations over the weekend of the 22nd of October. Until then, be sure to jump into the respective forums and join the discussions along with many other players and our Liaison Team members!
